The Holy Ghost

Jesus was on this earth approximately thirty three years. He said that he must go so that the great comforter can come. Jesus was talking about the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the third part of the trinity of God. After Jesus ascended into heaven The Holy Ghost came and has been here for over two thousand years, dwelling inside each and every believer.

The Holy Ghost is not like Casper or any other ghost whether it is friendly or not. He is God’s spirit and he lives within us to teach us God’s way and help us make our self ready for the kingdom. The Holy Ghost is God’s guidance in our lives to warn us of sin and keep us from evil.

In living our lives we must be very careful not to quench the Holy Ghost. We must try to live with a clean heart and walk gently among our fellow brethren, encouraging and not discouraging. The Holy Ghost is the joyful and peaceful spirit of God resting with our soul in union.

Of the trinity, the Holy Ghost is probably the least acknowledged, but he has been with us the longest. As we live our lives we sometimes forget about the presence of the Holy Ghost within us. Our flesh is carnal and not spiritual, therefore we dwell more of this world instead of in our heavenly home. God’s holiness is part of our everyday existence, telling us right from wrong. It is in his spirit that we choose good over evil.

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1John 5:7

Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. John 1:33

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:4
