At every turn and no matter what the cost we should stand for Jesus. Because they had beat him unmercifully and relentlessly without remorse, at one point our savior did not have the strength to continue to carry his crucifixion cross, so Simon, a Cyrenian, was assigned to the job so that prophesy could be fulfilled. Once Jesus was nailed to the cross he continued to suffer for hours until his death.
In our daily trails and tribulations we too must suffer and anguish over the persecutions that come our way. We must stand for Jesus in all things of righteousness and acknowledge his presence in our lives then and now. It is he that took on the burden of sin for us and gave us redemption and salvation through the grace of God. Because of God’s commitment and dedication for our sanctification, we must honor his commandments and covenants in establishing our eternal life in the glory of God.
