Stand for Him

At every turn and no matter what the cost we should stand for Jesus. Because they had beat him unmercifully and relentlessly without remorse, at one point our savior did not have the strength to continue to carry his crucifixion cross, so Simon, a Cyrenian, was assigned to the job so that prophesy could be fulfilled. Once Jesus was nailed to the cross he continued to suffer for hours until his death.

In our daily trails and tribulations we too must suffer and anguish over the persecutions that come our way. We must stand for Jesus in all things of righteousness and acknowledge his presence in our lives then and now. It is he that took on the burden of sin for us and gave us redemption and salvation through the grace of God. Because of God’s commitment and dedication for our sanctification, we must honor his commandments and covenants in establishing our eternal life in the glory of God. A tremendous price was paid by the Son of God, taken from his position of holiness and royalty in heaven and

delivered for our consumption here on this earth.

Standing for Christ is an honor and opportunity to serve the creator of the universe and all that it contains; to represent goodness in all that we do to glorify God because he made the ultimate sacrifice for our love. It is reverencing his truth in our lives to magnify his existence in morals and ethics in living a godly life. It is consciously selecting choices that represent God’s design of righteousness and holiness.

We stand firm for him because he stood for us first. There is no other means of fulfillment available other than worshipping God in praise and love. It is a realization of the blessing that comes with the assignment of our salvation, where the debt can never be paid nor is it requested. When we stand for him it is because of our love for him and all that he has done for us and will continue to do so for the rest of our life until we face him one day in heaven.
