Are You Saved?

What does saved mean? Saved means the same as being born again. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as the Son of God and your Lord and savior and acknowledge his death and resurrection on the cross that he died for the remission of your sin and you accept your salvation through his blood… that is only part of being saved. The other part of being saved for a true believer is changing your life and turning away from all sin because it disgusts you and you cannot do it.

If you haven’t turned completely away from sin, how can you be saved? Jesus told the prostitute that he would not condemn her, but go and sin no more. It was her choice. If she had continued doing what she was doing, would she be saved? The bible says no. It’s very simple; you can’t lose something you never had. Jesus said that he would rather you be hot or cold, but not Luke-warm because it

disgusted him and he would spew you out of his mouth. He said to the ones that were sinning, I never knew you.

If you are not sinning, but accept the ones that are around you in their sin and say nothing there is a major problem. You must not only live as an example in Christ, but you must not tolerate the sin that is around you. You must detach yourself and cast the evil from you. That is why there is not going to be any sin or sinners in heaven. We are to discard it from our lives while we are here on this earth. That is the whole point of this life and accepting Jesus into your heart, to change your sin nature by rebelling against the demands of the flesh. If you have family or friends that are sinning and make up excuses or rationalize why they do it, they are not saved. You must forewarn them to the best of your ability, so that their blood is not on your hands. In doing so, you are released from any responsibility of them perishing because of their unwillingness to accept Jesus and his commandments. Perhaps you may be labeled as an extremist, nut, or Jesus freak. In standing firm for your convictions without compromising, you will suffer persecution because the world will condemn you for your purity. They did it to Jesus; they will do it to you. God will strengthen you and give you the courage to fight the demons and principalities of darkness and truly be saved from an eternity in hell.
