A Blessing

A blessing is ours to behold every morning when God gives us one more day to wake up to. Whether we are experiencing pain, sorrow, joy or contentment, regardless it is still one more day to be in God’s will and under his authority and provision.

A blessing can be so huge that you couldn’t miss it like the birth of a child, or it could be as small as a lady bug giving you a kiss on the forehead. Whatever God’s blessings are for the day they have been specifically designed for us, and most are presented anonymously as coincidences or luck.

A blessing can be a wife under the authority of Christ and one that is truly a

helpmate. She has an appreciation for making a contribution of anonymity in meekness and humility. She is in obedience and under the rule of her husband and God’s commandment.

A blessing is the clean air that we breathe and the pure water that we drink. It is living in a country where freedom is primary and any other consideration is not acceptable. A blessing is having a job and being willing and able to work.

A blessing is having children that respect you and neighbors and friends that will remain so no matter what. When you have done without, a blessing is shelter over your head and food in your tummy.

The biggest blessing is having a savior that paid the price for our sins, and God giving us a mouth to accept his plan of salvation. It is a blessing that God forgives us and loves us unconditionally, and gives us all the time necessary for working things out to make that commitment unto him. It is a blessing that God gave us a soul that will outlast the human body, and we will commit to praise and worship our creator in heaven at his throne.

It is a blessing to be able to tell someone about Jesus and how he was sent to this earth for our salvation; that he was killed for our behalf and rose from the grave to ascend back to heaven, where he awaits the return to gather his saints. It is a blessing to have known and loved the many people on our path heading in the same direction and destination, where someday we will all be blessed when we meet God face to face.
