Tower of Forgiveness

The TOWER OF FORGIVENESS is a proposed building structure that will reach upwards of 490 feet. Its concrete foundation will cantilever out and plummet downward in subterranean pilings embedded like a tooth. The primary use will be to sponsor Christian music events in a surround outdoor amphitheater, as well as an observation tower. The design will be a contemporary monolithic cross of glass and steel, covered with a skin of brass and copper. Elevator cabs on the exterior will shuttle passengers from the base to a viewing platform at the intersection of the cross, encircled by a giant golden crown of thorns. The interior shaft is hollow for an unobstructed view looking in both directions: displaying a myriad of prismatic colors from the kaleidoscope of refracted colored glass. The effect will be a representation of the rainbow promise and covenant that God has with each of us. At the foot of the cross is acoustic baffles erected in the shape of Noah's Ark and resembling the crown of gold worn by King David.

The TOWER OF FORGIVENESS theme represents not only a visible cross to be seen for many miles, but also is the essence of Jesus Christ's philosophy. He was the true TOWER OF FORGIVENESS. His cry on the cross was to the Father: "Forgive them, for they know not what they do. " Luke 23:34

Also when Jesus was questioned about forgiveness and asked how many times must we forgive? His reply was seventy times seven. Matthew 18:21-22

Thus the structure's height is established at 490 feet tall.

After the birth of Abraham, God established a covenant with him and his seed and a significant event occurred exactly every 490 years. The first earmark was the Passover and Exodus; followed by the dedication of Solomon's temple; then the Edict of Artaxerxes otherwise known as the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem; and lastly the prophecy to be fulfilled of the Second Coming of Christ. Not only are all these monumental events separated by exactly 490 years, but they have the presence of God attached to each and every one of them.

In what metropolitan city might the TOWER OF FORGIVENESS find a home? Witnessing to millions around the world just as the Arch of St. Louis, the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco or even the Statue of Liberty in New York City.
