Are You a Thief?

The definition of a thief is someone who takes or steals something that doesn’t belong to him. Each one of us has broken this commandment at some point in our life. When we are caught, we receive conviction. When we are not caught, our conscience convicts us over and over until we repent and confess it to God, receiving his grace and forgiveness.

When we make a commitment and break it, we are stealing that person’s life. Whether in marriage or a promise of friendship, we must honor the Word of God and be accountable.

There is a reason why Christ was crucified on the cross between two thieves. One accepted him and the other did not. The thief that accepted his offer of paradise received the gift because of his belief and faith in him. If we choose not to accept Christ, Satan is stealing our life and soul without remorse or care.

The bible says when Christ returns at the second coming, the event will be like a thief in the night. When we least expect it, while we are asleep in the dark, the unexpected will take place. During this time period, if we don’t wake up… we will miss him. Jesus Christ is a gift from God that is ours to receive. It is the greatest thing that can happen to us during this lifetime. We must set the alarm clock and be ready. The rapture is ours for the taking!
