All Thats Left

All that is left is all that you had to begin with… God’s love. Everything else in this world is temporal or temporary and on loan without ownership. The true meaning of our existence is that we don’t even own the clothing on our back… God does. He supplied the natural ingredients from which it was made. He created the earth and all that is in it. When we die everything is returned to the Father whom gave it. Dust returns to dust (our flesh), and our soul returns to God.

Everything we have worked for, saved, bought, lend, fought over is left without significance or importance in the moment of our passing. God has the final say about when our time is up, we don’t. We can never be prepared enough for that final day of life, because only God knows when it will end.

If we live our life for our self and never have a personal relationship with God that will be the sum of our existence… to have heard of him but never known him. We will be missing out on the only truth of our creation, and our existence will have been for nothing. We are put on this planet to enjoy marriage, have children and create families. Along with that we are to love and help one another.

When you help someone other than yourself, you are giving a piece of you away as a gift forever. However, that allows room for more to be given back to you, compounding itself again and again. You can not give it away fast enough, because God will make sure that you have a full tank and never run out. You are his supply and conduit for dispersing his storehouse of blessings to others. Jesus gave it all and never once considered what he would receive in return. That is why God loves a cheerful giver. His delight is in blessing you with abundance, so that you may bless others through him, sharing the love of Christ. We must strive all of our life to make sure that we have nothing in surplus when there is a need from another. Empty pockets will keep us from never wanting for more. God says to take nothing on the journey and to be solely dependent upon him; he will supply our every need through servant hood.
