In Love With The Lord

A Prayer for The Root

Our love… what weakness prompts the voice to tell it here? The long, protected to assume the part of a protector, as love of mothers had called the first filial he was undissolved; and in or out of sight remains imperishably interwoven with life itself. Thus, mid a shifting world, did we together testify of time and season’s difference; a double tree and season’s difference, a double tree with two collateral stems sprung from one root: such we have been in union, in partition only such. Otherwise wrought the win of the most high; yet, through all visitations and all trials, still we remain faithful like two vessels launched from the same beach, one ocean to explore, with mutual help and sailing. To our league true, as inexorable winds, is such an even balance that our hearts acknowledge God’s grace.
