A Prayer for Steadfast Light

With this dream in my mind I set out to find you, because you first sought me. My silent thoughts search for the steadfast light. Love from our depths, duty by our might, and faith is a sad heart's sunshine, each one seeking your soft and gentle nature. After pains are dispensed to prove the measure of God's chastening love, brought from afar, I pray that our course may find rest. Guide us in our choices through good and evil; help us in righteousness so that our sins may be forgiven; let our union have peace on earth and bliss in heaven. Let not our time be halted, nor a waste. So precious few moments we are given.
